IEC C20 AC power inlets are designed for single-phase AC applications and are rated for up to IEC 60320-3 current of 16A at 250V AC or UL 60320-3 current of 20A at 250V which makes them perfect for high current applications like enterprise-class servers, data centers, rack-mounted power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), large network routers and network switches. The C20 is also perfect for certain high-current medial appliances.

These connectors include several safety features to protect the user. They feature a pre-mating ground contact to ensure the circuit is properly grounded before the rest of the conductors make a connection, and the also feature a polarized design to prevent incorrect connections.
